Question.
When I backup a DVD, the audio or video is jumping, or skipping every few seconds.
What can I do?
Answer
Some DVD drives do not seem to read the frame rate correctly.
When this happens, this can cause skipping and 'jerky' video.
To fix this, select the options menu shown when a dvd is playing back, and the the DVD frame rate option to manually select the rate.
Most DVDs play at either 25 or 29.97 frames per second, usually this issue is only found on 25 fps discs, so we recommend you try selecting 25 fps first, and doing a quick 1 minute test run to ensure this fixes your problem.
Most discs should work with the auto detect feature without using this over-ride feature.
