Question.

I would like to run the Pocket DVD Wizard on this machine,  but access a DVD on another machine on my network,  is this possible.

Answer.

Yes,  but....

You must be able to play back the DVD on the remote machine using Windows Media Player.  If the DVD will not play back in Media Player,  then it is likely your network speed is not high enough to transfer the data at the required speed.

You may also want to increase the file buffer in the Pocket DVD Wizard to prevent the encoder from stalling due to network congestion.

To do this,  wait until the dvd is playing back in the preview window and then select the options menu,  and then 'Show global input settings'.

A new screen will appear,  check the buffer selection to 'HD' and to a setting af around 100 to buffer a large portion of the DVD video to your hard drive.
